Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Signed by Caryn, I value your time and strive to provide efficient and reliable online notary services. To ensure smooth operations and accommodate all clients effectively, I have established the following cancellation & refund policy.

Cancellations & No Shows

Notification of Cancellation:

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, I kindly request that you notify me at least 24 hours in advance. This allows me to offer the appointment slot to another client who may be in need of my services. You can contact me via phone at

No-Shows:

A "no show" occurs when the signer fails to show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notification or cancels with less than 24 hours notice. In such cases, the appointment deposit is forfeited for the first occurrence of a no-show or less than 24 hour cancellation. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, therefore, I will send you a reminder about the missed appointment and provide an opportunity to reschedule.

Refunds

Refund Eligibility:

All notary services, once provided, may not be eligible for a refund due to the nature of the service. These services include but are not limited to completed notarizations or notary acts that have been executed and finalized. Refunds will only be considered for payments made in advance for notary services that have not yet been rendered.

Refundable Circumstances:

1) Appointment Cancellation: If you provide a minimum of 24 hours notice for appointment cancellation, any payment made in advance, excluding the non-refundable deposit, will be eligible for a refund.

2) Service Unavailability: If we are unable to fulfill the notary service due to unforeseen circumstances or an issue on our end, a full refund, including the non-refundable deposit, will be provided.

Refund Request:

Refund requests must be submitted via email at signedbycaryn@gmail.com within 3 days from the original payment date. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method, please allow a reasonable processing time for the refund to be reflected in your account. Note that the timeframe for the refund to appear may vary depending on your financial institution.

Disclaimer

​

As RON is still a new service that has recently been approved, we cannot be responsible for knowing the laws or rules as to whether RON documents will be acceptable within the jurisdiction you plan on using or filing these documents. It is your responsibility to verify that the documents being remotely notarized will be accepted by the agency with which you wish to use them.

 

Online rules and regulations are changing rapidly, and we do our best to keep up with the rules, however we cannot guarantee that all remote notarized forms will be accepted by all agencies in all states and countries. Please seek legal advice if you have questions regarding RON document use and to confirm acceptance of remotely notarized documents with the agency you wish to use them.
